In honor of my 23rd Birthday myself and two of my besties decided to book ourselves onto an afternoon tea cruise. It was all very exciting waiting to board the vessel in anticipation although to be fair we were not waiting long as the company were very punctual and ensured we were all seated in good time. We were lucky enough to get a window seat despite the fact we hadn't paid extra due to the fact we were early and at the front of the queue which was fabulous as it meant we got a front row seat to see all London has to offer. I think sometimes living in London your whole life means you forget to appreciate how great it actually is! While aboard The Harmony we tucked into our afternoon tea delights. First, we were brought our pot of tea (we all chose English Breakfast of course) followed by a selection of sandwiches which were super yummy although we did leave the majority of the cheese ones as it seems all three of us dislike cheese sarnis! We were then brought scones and a selection of sweet delights. By the time the sweets had came out we were too stuffed to overindulge as there was no scrimping on the sandwiches and we were offered as many as we liked. However, we made sure we all tried a macaroon as none of us had ever eaten one before, the verdict is 1 out of 3 loved it, that 1 is me! Myself and my friend aoife were sure to pick at everything so we knew what it all tasted like and I am pleased to report that everything was just delicious! There were mini lemon meringue pies, macarons, chocolate eclairs, mini jam doughnuts and a slice of carrot cake. All beautifully made, beautifully presented and beautifully delicious!
I loved seeing the London eye, houses of parliament, the tower of london and all the other monuments up close. If you ever wish to visit London, I suggest you experience it by boat! It's fuss free, you can see things from the best angles and get the best photos without wrestling crowds of people to do so! The next time I have a friend visit me here in London I am going to show them the sites via boat as it is most definitely the best and only way to see London!
If you wish to get the same deal and experience as us find it here with Bateux-London! I must add that all the staff were just as delightful as the food and sites, so friendly, charming and helpful! Bateux you have it all!
