REVIEW - PHB ETHICAL BEAUTY BRIGHTENING SKINCARE

My gorgeous boyfriend, Ben, bought me this set for my birthday back in August and obviously, being me, I looked up the brand afterwards and started to love my gift even more. As the more I read into PHB, the more I loved them as a brand.

PHB are an ethical family-run beauty brand. Their products are cruelty-free, vegan and natural. I love their company ethos as it sits hand in hand with mine but I also adore their products. I have been using this skin brightening range for almost two months now and I have to say it is absolutely amazing and seems to have done wonders for my skin, as my skin does in fact, look a lot brighter and healthier.

I could not be without this cleanser now, it's amazing. It has a creamy and smooth texture and I really adore that it's in a pump bottle as this is the easiest type of cleansers for when you're having a bath or shower.

Here's what PHB had to say about it: 'Ylang Ylang and Mandarin oils help to re-balance skin and act as a natural cell rejuvenators, great for brightening dull skin and repairing tissue discolouration. Papaya is packed full of antioxidants and contains Papain, a type of protein, that has a powerful regenerating action to encourage youthful, even looking skin' (PHB, 2016).

It smells wonderful, feels absolutely fabulous on the skin and leaves your face feeling squeaky clean afterwards. I would really recommend this cleanser based on these reasons alone, but here are some other reasons why I love it:
* It contains 79.6% certified organic ingredients
* It helps to nourish and re-balance skin
* It encourages bright, youthful looking skin
* It contains essential vitamins and antioxidants
* It helps to reduce pigmentation and discoloration
* It's free from parabens, artificial fragrance & colours, petrochemicals, formaldehyde, and mineral oils. (Of course - Ben knows me so well).
* It's Cruelty-Free, Vegan and Halal (I am not entirely sure how a product can be halal if I am honest, but it's clearly a unique selling point and fantastic for any of my friends who know a little more about this than I do).

I LOVE this toner. At first, I was a bit dubious about the fact it is a spray toner instead of the toners you pour and apply with a cotton wool pad, but once I got used to that, I actually grew to prefer it. It's such a refreshing and rejuvenating toner. Your skin feels refreshed and supple after a spritz with this bad boy and I couldn't be happier with it - it is, by far, the best toner I have ever used.

Here's what PHB had to say about it: 'This handcrafted floral water from PHB is made with Neroli oil from sweet orange blossoms to detoxify skin and boost circulation and blood flow which increases skin's natural glow...' (I can really vouch for this as you can feel your skin tingling after you have applied this toner) '...Neroli is rich in vitamins and antioxidants that are crucial for healthy skin and also helps encourage collagen production to keep skin looking youthful.' (PHB, 2016)

More reasons to love this toner:
* It is alcohol (ethanol) & oil free
* It restores your skin's pH balance
* As mentioned above; it boosts circulation for increased radiance
* It promotes a healthy glow, the healthy way
* It protects collagen and elastin so you'll look younger for longer
* It is free from parabens, artificial fragrance & colours, petrochemicals, formaldehyde, mineral oils, palm oil & phenoxyethanol too.
* It's of course vegan, cruelty-free and halal.

This moisturiser is my favourite moisturiser out of all the moisturisers I have ever tried, chemical free or not. It's so luxurious and really makes your face feel super hydrated after. Ben and I both love the smell of this as quite often, after I have applied this and got into bed he has said 'ohhh you smell nice!' and it's this. If you are used to harmful, chemically perfumed products then you may well think of this as a bit too 'herbal' smell-wise, but you'll learn to love that as it is so much better for you and your skin.

PHB say: 'PHB Brightening moisturiser is handmade with liquorice and immortelle which brighten skin and encourage tissue regeneration for a glowing, even skin. Blended with nourishing Argon oil and skin stimulating oranges to boost circulation and eliminate toxins from under the skin's surface for supple, hydrated and vibrant skin' (100% agreed!) 'Liquorice is a powerful anti-inflammatory that soothes and renews skin. Rich in Glabridin to help target and eliminate dark spots for a more even skin tone. Liquorice extract also reduces hyperpigmentation by temporarily blocking the actions of tyrosinase, which is responsible for the skin's pigmentation process.' (PHB, 2016)

More reasons to love this product:
* The nourishing formula absorbs instantly
* It's a gentle skin enhancing formula for brighter skin with no nasties
* It's rich in essential vitamins, antioxidants, and omegas
* It reduces and prevents dark spots and uneven skin tone
* It maintains the skin's elasticity and hydration, which will help the anti-aging process
* It softens and protects your skin
* It is of course, free from parabens, artificial fragrance & colours, petrochemicals, formaldehyde, mineral oils, palm oil & phenoxyethanol
* It is also, of course, cruelty-free, vegan and halal.

Give PHB a try! They're amazing!

Peace out Potatoes! xo
